Guarantee Terms

1. What We Guarantee

For each month of subscription, PressBeat guarantees the number of articles included in your plan:

• Guaranteed articles per month — Based on your plan (1-4 articles/month available)
• Minimum DR based on plan — DR30+ for Starter, DR50+ for Premium
• Do-follow backlink — A hyperlink to your website with do-follow attribute
• Editorial article — Not a sponsored post, paid placement, or press release distribution
• Delivery within 90 days — From the start of each billing cycle

2. How We Measure Domain Rating (DR)

Domain Rating is measured using Ahrefs, the industry standard for SEO metrics.

• We measure the domain's DR, not the individual article page's URL Rating (UR)
• DR is verified at the time of publication, using the most recent monthly Ahrefs data available before the article goes live
• Minimum DR by plan: Starter requires DR30+, Premium requires DR50+
• If DR fluctuates: We use the DR measured at publication time. If a site's DR changes after publication, it still counts as delivered based on the DR when published
• You can verify independently using Ahrefs Backlink Checker or any Ahrefs account

3. Plans and Pricing

Base pricing for 1 article per month. Multi-article plans (2-4 articles/month) are available during onboarding with volume discounts.

Volume discounts: 2 articles (-5%), 3 articles (-10%), 4 articles (-15%)

All articles are delivered within 90 days of each billing cycle.

4. Refund Policy

If we fail to deliver an article meeting our guaranteed criteria within 90 days, you are entitled to a partial refund calculated per undelivered article.

Refund Formula

The deductible covers our software and AI costs to run your campaign. It applies per article guaranteed.

Deductible by Plan

• Starter: $250 per article
• Premium: $500 per article

Example 1: Single Article (Starter)

You're on Starter at $500/mo for 1 article. We don't deliver within 90 days.

• Total subscription: $500
• Deductible: 1 × $250 = $250
• Refundable base: $500 − $250 = $250
• Refund per article: $250 ÷ 1 = $250
• Your refund: $250

Example 2: Multi-Article (Premium, 4 articles)

You're on Premium at $6,800/mo for 4 articles. We deliver 2 articles but fail to deliver the other 2.

• Total subscription: $6,800
• Total deductibles: 4 × $500 = $2,000
• Refundable base: $6,800 − $2,000 = $4,800
• Refund per article: $4,800 ÷ 4 = $1,200
• Undelivered articles: 2
• Your refund: 2 × $1,200 = $2,400

5. When We Refund (Triggers)

You are entitled to a refund of your monthly fee if the article:

• Is not published within 90 days of your billing cycle
• Has a no-follow link instead of do-follow
• Is below your plan's minimum DR (DR30 for Starter, DR50 for Premium) at publication time

6. When We Don't Refund

An article counts as "delivered" (no refund) even if not published, if:

• You refuse a valid opportunity — We secure a placement meeting all criteria (DR50+, do-follow, relevant publication) and you decline without valid reason
• You don't respond to journalists — A journalist requests information/interview and you don't respond within 72 hours, causing the opportunity to be lost
• You sabotage the placement — Actions that intentionally cause a secured opportunity to fall through

Valid reasons to decline (won't count as delivered):

• Publication is completely irrelevant to your industry
• Article angle fundamentally misrepresents your brand
• Publication has clear ethical/legal issues

7. Your Responsibilities

To maintain your guarantee eligibility, you must:

• Respond to journalist inquiries within 72 hours — When we forward a journalist's questions, you need to reply promptly
• Provide accurate information — The information you provide about your company must be truthful
• Be available for interviews — If a journalist wants to interview you, make reasonable efforts to accommodate
• Not make false claims — Don't ask us to pitch stories that are untrue or misleading
• Make best effort — Act in good faith to support the PR process

8. What's Not Included

• Specific publication guarantees — We cannot guarantee placement in a specific publication (e.g., "I want Forbes specifically")
• Traffic guarantees — We guarantee the article and backlink, not the traffic it generates
• Ranking guarantees — SEO improvements depend on many factors beyond our control
• Content approval — The journalist writes the article; we cannot guarantee exact wording

9. Disputes

In case of disagreement:

• We will provide Ahrefs screenshots and documentation for any disputed metrics
• You may verify independently using your own Ahrefs access
• For unresolved disputes, PressBeat's reasonable determination will be final
